Our Story
Omnilectic Therapy Collective was founded by Mary Tobon, LCSW in 2026 to integrate her knowledge of diverse therapeutic and wellness modalities, building a community of people with shared values around the power of the natural world, collectivism, and psychotherapy.
The name Omnilectic Therapy Collective is rooted in the concept of dialectics. In therapy, a dialectic allows seemingly contradictory ideas to exist at the same time, holding space for the complexity of being human. You might think “I am happy with myself, and want to improve” or “I hate what they did to me, and I still love them.” These are dialectics.
Traditionally, the prefix “di” refers to two. The prefix “omni,” from the Latin omnis, meaning “all” or “of all things,” expands this idea. Omnilectic reflects the belief that there is an infinite number of seemingly contradictory experiences, emotions, and perspectives, all existing at once. For example, “I am happy with myself, and I want to improve, and I don't know where to start, and I'm afraid I never will, and I have to pay taxes…” or “I hate what they did to me, and I love them, and I promised myself I wouldn't stay around if I am treated this way, and I don't know how I'll manage my life without them....”
Mission
To create space for the full spectrum of human experience and guide collective healing through integrative practices.
Vision
A world where people feel connected to themselves, to one another, and to the land, and where transformation is both deeply personal and inherently collective.
