Mary Tobon, LCSW
Founder and CEO
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
License #100485

  • Mary Tobon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Founder and CEO of Omnilectic Therapy Collective. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach, a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, and is currently a Doctor of Social Work student at the University of Southern California. Mary is a certified Forest Therapy Guide and has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), DBT-Prolonged Exposure and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.

In 2026, Mary founded Omnilectic Therapy Collective with the intention of expanding her impact—creating a space to share her knowledge and approach to healing in a more integrated, accessible, and community-centered way. Prior to this, she co-founded Ecodelic Therapy Collective and spent six years in private practice, specializing in nature-informed therapy, ketamine-assisted therapy, and DBT. Her work has spanned education, addiction and recovery, and both group and individual therapy, including roles as a therapist at Westside DBT, a counselor at Aspire Public Schools, and a house manager at Recovery Grads LLC.

Mary’s therapeutic approach is deeply shaped by her ancestry and early life experiences. Time spent with her family in Colombia offered a powerful model of communal care—where support was shared, embodied, and ever-present. This collectivist foundation informs her work. Mary believes that healing cannot occur in isolation, but only through connection, care, and shared experiences. Her relationship with the natural world, nurtured by her mother, is another cornerstone of her practice. Mary supports clients in reconnecting with the natural world around them and fostering a deeper sense of reciprocity with self, community, and the land.

Dozer
Primary Therapy Dog

  • Dozer, (also known in certain circles as Sir Puddington of the Shire Puddingtons, Pudding, Pud, Dozey, or Dozey Pozey), is Omnilectic Therapy Collective’s primary therapy dog. Born on August 5, 2021, he is a unique blend of American Bulldog, Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd, Boxer, and Dutch Shepherd.

Dozer’s primary human is the Founder of Omnilectic Therapy Collective, Mary Tobon. He came into Mary’s life through a foster-to-adopt journey in 2021, just a month after the passing of her previous senior dog. From the very beginning, their connection was unmistakable—rooted in long, steady eye contact and a shared sense of recognition. There is an attentiveness in him that feels mutual, as though he is not only observing the world, but in conversation with it.

Dozer’s path into therapy work reflects both dedication and care, shaped in part by his own experience with trauma recovery after being attacked by two loose dogs. Early on, he exhibited some challenging behaviors, and with the support of skilled professionals, he learned to navigate the demands of a domesticated world. Mary values the wildness he retains. He serves as a living reminder that beneath our conditioning, we are all still animals adapting to structured environments. After completing multiple levels of structured training, he went on to pursue specialized therapy dog work with intentional one-on-one guidance.

In sessions, Dozer offers more than companionship. He brings a steady, responsive presence that invites clients into connection both with him and with themselves. Clients often share that they feel comforted simply by his presence, while also discovering their own voice as they engage with him. There is a sensitivity in how he reads emotion, often responding to subtle shifts with closeness, soft eye contact, or a grounded physical presence.

Dozer reminds us of something essential—that beneath the structures and expectations of daily life, there is a more instinctual, relational way of being. His gentle awareness, paired with his unmistakable personality, creates space for both introspection and ease. In this way, he is not only a therapy dog, but a companion in the unfolding process of being human.
